3 Fool Proof Tips For Selecting Bedroom Throw Pillows
1: Select your quilt or duvet cover first. I let my quilt decide the design here after falling in love with it! I chose textiles that didn't necessarily match, but that coordinated.
2 : Add texture and pattern; I chose neutral base pillows that have a subtle pattern and a lot of texture for warmth and depth. I used wool and plaid that have complimentary colours, staying in the warmer tones to pair with the warmth of the quilt. I added a floral tapestry to tie in the floral pattern and add some contrast.
3 : Size matters! (Don't tell him... I'm kidding!) It only matters when we are talking about pillows. Here I layered three 20x20 pillows and one 12x32 lumbar. You could switch your 20x20's for two Euro sized pillows, too. Layering them will add extra visual appeal and create a "I wanna jump into bed and never leave" feel.
